Terms of use
Last updated 16 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Invited (weinvited.app and the Invited app), which is run by DailyTaskApps Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC879270, registered office: The Melting Pot, 15 Calton Road, Edinburgh EH8 8DL) (“we”). By creating an account or replying to an invitation, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
Your account
You need to be 13 or over to make an account and host. To sell tickets or collect money in a chip-in pot you need to be 18 or over, and we’ll ask you to confirm it. Keep your password to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete it at any time from your profile.
Your events and guest lists
What you put on Invited (text, photos, guest lists) stays yours. You give us permission to store and show it so the service works, for example to show your invitation to the people you share it with. Only add guests and photos you have a right to use, and only invite people who’d expect to hear from you. Guest details are deleted 12 months after an event (we email you 30 days before, so you can download the list).
Fair use
- No spam, harassment, hate, scams, or anything illegal.
- Don’t try to break, overload or get around the security of the service, or access other people’s events.
- Don’t use Invited to send marketing to people who haven’t agreed to it.
We can remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
Premium and payments
Some features need Premium or Premium Plus, bought once per event. You can buy them in the app, through Apple, or on our website, by card through Stripe. Each purchase is for one event and switches on straight away.
In the app: Apple’s terms and refund rules apply to the purchase.
On our website: purchases are non-refundable. Because Premium is switched on for your event as soon as you pay, you ask us to supply it straight away and agree that you lose the 14-day right to cancel when you buy. This doesn’t affect your rights if Premium doesn’t work as described: if something’s wrong, email [email protected] and we’ll put it right or refund you.
If you sell tickets or collect gifts by card, our host payment terms apply too: you’re the seller, and refunds and disputes are between you and your guests.
Guests
Guests don’t need an account. The host is responsible for their event; questions about an event, payments or refunds are best sent to the host.
Buying tickets: you buy from the host, and Invited takes the payment for them. The booking fee covers card costs and Invited’s fee and is never refunded. Whether you can cancel is up to the host, and the invitation shows their rule before you buy: only the host gives refunds, you can cancel for a refund, or you can ask the host, each up to a time before the event they choose. A refund is the ticket price, back to the card you paid with. Ticket sales close at the time the host sets, and once the event has ended nothing more can be bought. If the host cancels the event, card payments are refunded (the ticket price).
The service
We work hard to keep Invited running and your information safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and features may change. If we ever close Invited, we’ll give hosts at least 30 days’ notice to save what they need.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn’t allow that, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, and your legal rights as a consumer aren’t affected. Otherwise, we aren’t responsible for events themselves, for what hosts or guests do, or for losses we couldn’t reasonably foresee.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms; if a change matters, we’ll tell hosts before it applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live in the UK.
